Ingredients:
*1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
* 1/2 cup plain yogurt
* 2 teaspoons garam masala
* 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
* 1/2 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons butter
* 1 onion, diced
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
* 1 (14.5 ounce) can tomato sauce
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute more.
3. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
4. Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
5. Stir in the heavy cream and cilantro and cook for 5 minutes more.
6. Serve the butter chicken over rice or with naan bread.
Enjoy your delicious butter chicken!
